Using a multi-step AI computing process, we simulated thousands of the most common strikes across the club face, emphasized the impact locations, and evaluated the performance characteristics.
Then, based on our findings, we created a variable thickness face design that enlarged and reshaped the sweet spot for an improved energy transfer across the face, delivering powerful ball speeds and distance wherever you make contact.
Cleveland reworked their XL Head Design and weighting setup to deliver even more forgiveness and consistency. Weight was also saved by using an extremely thin crown that's supported by a strong, lightweight framework beneath. With these savings, MainFrame's AI-driven simulations allowed Cleveland to place more discretionary mass low and deep in the clubhead, optimising the Driver's CG for long, high-launching ball flight.
Here's what sets Launcher XL 2 apart from other Drivers—the unique ability to flex twice. Like a spring within a spring, Rebound Frame technology adds a second ring of flexibility that sits just behind the face, supported by extra stiffness in the rear of the clubhead. At impact, these dual flex zones activate simultaneously, increasing the amount of energy transferred into the ball for more ball speed and amplified distance
Action Mass CB places an 8-gram counterweight in the end of the shaft near the very top of your grip. The feel of added weight in your hands helps the club seem lighter, promoting a more stable, controlled backswing. It also helps promote a more inside swing path, squarer club face through impact, and, ultimately, straighter shots.
All-new HALO XL Fairway Woods feature upgraded GlideRail sole technology for optimal turf interaction on shots off the deck. Plus, with MainFrame XL, low Centers of Gravity, and Rebound Frame, HALO XL Fairway Woods are everything you need to ditch the duffs and launch your long game to a new level.
Need a lift? The all-new HALO XL Hybrids are designed to help you break out of tough lies, thick rough, or even fairway bunkers. Upgraded GlideRail sole technology helps players get in and out of the turf without interference, while MainFrame injects even more MOI for added forgiveness. Now, you can stand over your ball anywhere on the course with just a single thought: "Yeah, I got this."
Designed with the help of AI, MainFrame uses a variable network of grooves, channels, and cavities milled into the backside of the club face on ZipCore XL's 4i–7i. This pattern helps maximize flex at impact for better COR. MainFrame also uses weight pads to position mass low and deep, boosting MOl and optimizing the Center of Gravity for more forgiveness.
In 8i–SW lofts, ZipCore replaces heavy steel in the hosel and heel with an extremely lightweight yet strong, vibration dampening material. This sets the Center of Gravity right where you strike the ball, giving you more consistent launch, spin, and distance. Coupled with our XL Head Design, ZipCore delivers an abundance of high/low and heel/toe MOl for increased forgiveness, feel, and control.
Our XL Head Design features a large, cavity back profile with enhanced shaping and weighting throughout the entire lineup. Thanks to the additional weight savings from ZipCore and MainFrame, we reallocated this weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, upping the MOl for incredible forgiveness.
ZipCore XL Irons feature HydraZip, along with loft-specific grooves, to balance spin performance on every club throughout the lineup.
In 4i–7i lofts, HydraZip uses a rougher face blast, with wider, flatter grooves, to help reduce unwanted spin that can eat away at your carry distances. Then, 8i–SW lofts receive a slightly smoother blast, but with thinner, deeper grooves to boost spin on approach. Wedge lofts also receive laser milling for superb short-game control and better performance in wet conditions.
